SAFE-C is an International Safety Award winning Sussex based company specialising in Health and SafetyRisk Management and Training for local companies.

We can an act as the ‘Competent Person’ for organisations that require health and safety support under the Management Regulations. This can be for short periods during transition and change within organisations, following sudden departure of competent staff or on a longer term basis. SAFE-C Corporate and Public Safety has strong local links to providers of fire safety and security equipment and specialist fire risk advice including the services of former senior fire officers holding membership of Institute of Fire Engineers. In addition it has links to the providers of office equipment, signage and safety wear.

SAFE-C is a long standing member of the British Safety Council and gained recognition as winners of the International Safety Award.

As founder members of the Sussex Local Authority Safety Officers Group (SLASOG), SAFE-C contributes to safety initiatives and supports CPD events within Sussex.

SAFE-C are pleased to have gained a SMAS Worksafe certificate. This means that we have met the SSIP core criteria recognised by the HSE and other SSIP accreditation schemes. Meeting the SSIP Core Criteria demonstrates that we are serious about Health & Safety and have (and use) an effective H&S Management System to ensure that any work we engage in is, so far as reasonably practical, carried out without risk to health and safety.

As members of the Emergency Planning Society for over 20 years, Corporate & Public Safety has extensive knowledge, skills and experience in this crucial area of Business Continuity and event planning. As SAFE-C we are represented in the South East Region attending local and AGM meetings.

Having gained Fellowship of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management, we continue our association with this International Group adding to our extensive body of knowledge in risk and safety management.

Mark

Director

Mark has spent 20+ years in the mobile telecoms industry in a range of project and programme management roles delivering large scale multi-million-pound national infrastructure projects in both the UK and Ireland. During the past 10 years, Mark has become more involved in Health and Safety and the quality side of delivering mobile networks. He spent time working with a leading consultancy firm to enhance focus on Health, Safety & Quality Assurance (HSQA) and set new benchmarks for suppliers to achieve. This lead Mark to get fully involved in Health, Safety, and Risk Management and has joined Corporate & Public Safety to help develop and enhance the business for the future. Mark is NEBOSH qualified and is a member of IIRSM and IOSH.

John Rodway

Senior Consultant

John Rodway has previously worked within local authorities in Sussex in the role of Corporate and Public Safety Manager with responsibility for Corporate Safety, Emergency Planning and Business Continuity. Winner of the International Safety Award, 2013, John has extensive experience and qualifications.
